Webmin is a popular tool for administering your Linux distribution via web interface. Webmin was developed to help Linux users to gain better control and user interface to many Low to Linux settings. Here I will show you how to install Webmin on Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. This step also works on previous Ubuntu Lucid Lynx.
To start installing Webmin on Ubuntu, follow these steps:
1. Open Terminal and download the Webmin package with wget command below:
2. Install Webmin package you’ve just downloaded using command:
sudo dpkg -i webmin_1.520_all.deb
Change the version if it different with version above.
3. Install missing dependencies using command:o
sudo apt-get -f install
Now, you can open the Webmin via browser with this address:
